Before I even begin, please look at this ridiculous move by dawk.
That's about as awesome as it gets
This guy just has so much heart. He’s never complained about his contract, always stayed professional and most of all, shown up on almost all Sundays.
Any eagles fan just gets ridiculous when you see him completely nail someone, it’s just so much fun to watch.
This man is a force on the defense; he just brings an energy on the field that is palpable. I hope 2008 brings a great year for him.
The 2007 season was riddled with problems for Dawk. It started great, when his wife gave birth to twins, but as a result, he had to miss a lot of training. Then, he came back and had an Achilles’ heel problem and missed some more training and then most of pre-season. When he returned to pre-season, he suffered a neck stinger, and a back injury which bothered him all season. The season ended with him having a foot injury and missing the season finale.
Not quite the season that reinforces that a 34 year-old safety can still keep up. Still, I have some hopes. He’s been training harder than ever for this season, and assures us that he’s fired up and ready to whoop some ass.
I can’t wait to see what he does this year.
Unfortunately, I doubt he will stay an eagle for 2009, and I doubt he will retire. So I will have to watch this man wear another jersey in 2009. The Eagles have a history of letting old players go, even fan favorites, like Troy Vincent.
I don’t feel like rehashing a bunch of stats describing how ridiculous this guy really is, because it’s just so much fun to watch, so here are some absolutely amazing highlight vids, the first of which I watch on a regular basis.
That video is just amazing. Every Eagles fan remembers that bone crushing hit he had on Crumpler during that 2004 magical season.
