My fellow Amerikens,
For many weeks now, all of you dedicated readers have endured pages upon pages of our mindless drivel and opinionated ramblings. On behalf of the Manrants crew, I would like to first thank you all very much for your support. Hopefully you have found our rantings and ravings humorous, passion driven, and entertaining. Most of all, I hope we have provoked emotions in all of you and you are now eager to participate in the literary travesty that is this webpage.
I would like to now introduce a new idea graciously shared with me by my roommate Tom Brennan, and Hall of Fame Manranter Jeremy Cook.
Every week I am going to read through my emails and find the most popular questions and the most interesting comments. A couple times a month I will post my answers to the questions and rebuttals to the comments as my rant for that week. If you always wanted to ask me something about a past rant, well now is your chance. Now is your chance to make yourself heard.

We figure rather than mocking us in the “Comments” section, which we occasionally forget to read, mock us blatantly in an email. Emails we will read, and we’ll give you the credit and opportunity to trash us that you deserve.
So readers, your mission if you choose to accept it, is to email me right after you read this article. I would like you to tell me who you think will win the Super Bowl and why. If it won’t get me kicked off the internet, I will post it next Wednesday.

I would like to close with my picks for NFL Sunday:
Washington over NY Giants - I think the Redskins are going to extirpate the Giants and set the trend for their 13-3 season. The Redskins are the best team in the NFC East in my eyes and I expect them to win by at least 10 points.
Cincinnati over Ravens - I do expect the Ravens to improve when they figure out their offense at the end of the season, but as for this weekend, they don’t have enough straightened out to beat the banged up Bengals. Bengals by 7+
Miami defeats NY Jets - I know this is Brett Favre’s well anticipated first game and that is exactly why he will lose it. Dolphins take this at home by no more than 3.
New England over KC - I think the Patriots will win obviously, but an interesting thing to note. Madden 09 predicted the Chiefs to win this game. You never know…
Pittsburg over Houston - The most reliable of all picks. I think Pittsburg wins easily at home by more than 10.
Tennessee over Jacksonville - Honestly? I think these teams will split and I’m going with the Titans because they are home.
Atlanta over Detroit - I think the Falcons will surprise some people and win their first game with Matt Ryan.
Buffalo over Seattle - I think the NFC West is garbage this year and this game will stand to prove that even the AFC East can take out one of the best of the West.
New Orleans over Tampa Bay - The Bucs have too many issues on offense right now. The Saints are a well rounded team.
Philly over the Rams - The Eagles will win the home opener. The Rams are a crappy team and will not be able to contain the Eagles air show of an offense.
Dallas over Cleveland - This game will be closely contested. I expect Dallas to win late, but the Browns to make it interesting. This will be the game of the week.
San Diego over Carolina - Carolina will play them tough in the first half and then fade away as they cannot contain LT.
Arizona over San Francisco - I like JT O’Sullivan, but I have no faith in winning his first game. There is no way he is prepared for the NFL yet.
Indianapolis over Chicago - Face it, Kyle Orton just can’t put up the points.
Green Bay over Minnesota - I think the Vikings will win the NFC North, but I really like Aaron Rodgers chances in his home opener.
Oakland over Denver - This year is a new Oakland team. They are going to set the trend with a week I win.
